  • The second of two tours which gives a glimpse into the symbolism of the motifs and carvings that adorn the Victorian memorials.

    This tour is led by Marjorie Hopkinson, who has researched and planned the trail, and provides fascinating insight into the Victorian culture of mourning and remembrance  from 1854 onwards.n The twenty six acres of Undercliffe Cemetery houses a  wonderful repository of the stone-masons art set amidst the original design and layout by William Gay, the very first Registrar.
