A tour of the cemetery covering some of Bradford’s most well known Victorian Retailers, two of these are still operating today.
The retailers will include
Rimmingtons – Pharmacy and analytical chemist
Brown Muffs Department Store – ‘The Harrods of the North’
Market trader – William Hardaker (Humbug Billy) who accidentally poisoned over 200 of his customers
Christopher Pratt, Furniture and Upholstery – manufacturers and retailers.
Lingards Department Store – Bombed by the Luftwaffe during the Second World War
Manoah Rhodes – Silversmith
Photographers and film makers – Thomas William and Richard James Appleton
Tour starts at 11 am and last for around 90 minutes.
